Privacy Policy
This policy explains how Jizmo Digital (“we”, “us”), based in Italy, handles data for the My Home Network website and product. Our guiding principle is local-first: the data the software collects about your network stays on your own device.
1. The product is local-first
When you run My Home Network on your Raspberry Pi, it scans your local network and stores results in a local SQLite database on the Pi (device names, IP/MAC addresses, vendor lookups, trust status, alerts). This data is not sent to us and no cloud account is required for core monitoring. We have no access to your device or its database.
2. Optional features that send data to third parties
Some optional features, if you enable and configure them, send data outside your Pi to the providers you choose:
- Telegram alerts — notification content is sent to Telegram via the bot token you provide. Telegram's privacy policy applies.
- Email alerts — notification content is sent through the SMTP/email provider you configure. That provider's privacy policy applies.
- Vendor (MAC) lookups — may query offline data or an external service depending on configuration.
These features are off by default and controlled entirely by you in Settings.
3. This website and the notification list
If you contact us, you send us your email address (and any content you include). We use it only to reply. We do not sell your data or use it for unrelated marketing.
If you submit the notification form on this site, we store your email address, the preference you selected (whether you are waiting for a version that needs no terminal setup), the country code Cloudflare derives from your connection, and the date of the request. We do not store your IP address. This data is kept in a Cloudflare D1 database in our own Cloudflare account and is used only to email you about this product's availability. You can ask us to remove you at any time — see section 7.
4. Payments
Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, acting as our Merchant of Record. When you buy, Lemon Squeezy collects the billing and payment details needed to complete the sale and comply with tax law. We receive limited order information (such as your email and order ID) to deliver the kit and provide support. We do not receive or store your full card details. Lemon Squeezy's privacy policy governs its processing.
5. Website hosting
This site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare may process technical data (such as IP address and request logs) to serve and protect the site, as described in its own policy. We do not add third-party advertising or cross-site tracking.
6. Data retention
We keep notification-list and support emails only as long as needed for those purposes, and delete them on request or once the product no longer needs them. Order records are retained as required for accounting/legal obligations (handled largely by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record).
7. Your rights
Depending on your location (including the EU/EEA under GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold, or to object to its processing. To exercise these rights, email [email protected]. For data handled by Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record, contact them directly or via us.
8. Children
The Product and site are not directed to children and are intended for adult homelab users.
9. Changes
We may update this policy as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
